As any follower of sport or politics knows,
having a collection of talented and well meaning individuals
is no guarantee of having a winning team. Conversely many
good teams of ordinary people have been know to beat the odds
and achieve what they thought was beyond them. This is because
they recognised that by effective collaboration and co-ordination,
and drawing on each others strengths, talents and enthusiasms,
the whole really can be more than the sum of the parts.
Building the team doesn’t happen automatically.
It requires thought, time and effort. Even when we have achieved
good teamwork we can’t get complacent. Work needs to
put in to maintain focus, good communication and relationships.
These five half-day workshops take the team through what effective
teamwork means and provide the framework, the time and the
space to set or renew the team’s vision, goals and ways
of working together. The focus is firmly on the practical
and on bringing sustained positive change in the workplace
by identifying and addressing real issues.
A range of methods are used to maximise interest,
involvement and enjoyment. These methods include interactive
discussion, case studies and relevant practical exercises.
